Favorite Board: Pure Wakesurf Tripp 

I fell in love with water sports well over a decade ago. The lake life really changed my life for the better. Days on the lake without cell service meant your worries just seemed to wash themselves away. I was involved in an accident almost 20 years ago, that left me with a severe spinal injury. That really changed what I can and cannot do. I learned that wake surfing was one of the things that my body would tolerate and I became hooked. I became very active in the water sports community, although I have no delusions of grandeur. I have no desire to compete myself, but I do enjoy watching others and have organized events and other activities to share my passion for the sport. 

Adventure Water Sports of Tennessee was a dream that was always pushed to the back burner. When finally, I reached a point where it was either do it or give up on it. I am a huge believer in things that happen for a reason, and if something is meant to be, the doors will open. Although the path getting here was not without some bumps and potholes. Those things really make you think deeper, and truly help you come up with better solutions.   

Favorite Board: Pure Wakesurf Zero G 

There wasn’t a time when I was growing up that you would catch me without a swimsuit. I LOVED the water. Any chance I got, whether in the middle of July or the middle of December, I wanted to go swimming. My family bought their first boat when I was 14 and we discovered surfing when I was 15. It wasn’t long until it became a way to escape the world around me. The lake became a haven, a place where you left everything on the dock, and just spent time on the water. I am personally a believer that you don’t even have to get in the water, a lake cruise is just as much the Chicken Soup for the Soul as surfing is. What I didn’t expect was how INVOLVED I would be in the lake community. I absolutely LOVE to share my love for the water with any and everyone who will listen.
